Nigerian tactician Robinson Ndubuisi has made a return to Kawangware- based club as assistant to Tim Byrett months after he threw in towel
Former Nairobi City Stars coach Robinson Ndubuisi Ofwoku has made a return to the team after initially resigning when the club admitted they cannot afford to pay his salary.
Club chairman Peter Jabuya confirmed the same to Goal and said the Nigerian tactician has agreed to work as Tim Byrett’s assistant.
“He came back to us and indicated his love for the club. We have given him another chance to work with us,” said Jabuya.
The coach himself said he is glad to come-back to the team after being away for more than two months and believes the team can beat off relegation fears.
“We can still do well in our remaining fixtures despite losing some key players like Jimmy Bagaye to Bandari. We have started second leg on a sound footing after defeating Chemeli Sugar away.
“We wanted to meet AFC Leopards’ with our current form but it’s unfortunate the match has been postponed.”
He admitted that the absence of Bagaye will affect the team but was quick to add that they have signed another Ugandan as a replacement.
“Definetly, we shall miss him as a person but we have signed a good replacement. He is a hot cake and many will admire him. He has been training with us but we could not field him in our previous matches since he had not received ITC from his previous club.”
“The matter has been sorted out and we shall plunge him into the starting team for our next match perhaps against AFC Leopards’.”
