Meanwhile, Ulinzi Stars coach Robert Matano insists referee Amos Ichingwa was wrong to send off captain Stephen Ochollah during the match.
Matano has accused Ichingwa of being part of a plan to frustrate his side after the referee sent off Ocholla for a second bookable offense. "I am not surprised at how Ichingwa handled this match.
"It was totally expected but I am glad my boys held their own nerves and managed to get something out of it," Matano told Goal.
"Today (Wednesday) we were up against the referee and fans. After the send off I told my boys to be calm and give their best which they did and we should even have scored. Some of the calls made by Ichingwa were not necessary. They only brought a lot of tension to the game and were aimed at frustrating us.
"The red card on Ocholla should not have been as the player kicked the ball convinced that the whistle may have been blown by one of the fans.”
