Cranes resume training
The return leg between Mauritania and Uganda in the 2015 Nations Cup pre-qualifiers has been confirmed for August 3.
This is after the Mauritanian soccer body on Wednesday communicated the development to their Ugandan counterparts.
“We have received communication from Mauritania today confirming the return leg date as Sunday 3rd August 2014 at the Stadia Olympique,” Edgar Watson, the Fufa CEO, wrote.
Meanwhile, Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic and his side resumed training at Namboole on Wednesday as they prepare for the return leg due next weekend in Nouakchott, Mauritania. Sixteen players were involved.
Uganda need to just avoid defeat or lose marginally to progress to the group stages of the 2015 Nations Cup qualifiers.
Four-time African champions Ghana, Togo and Guinea await Uganda in Group E should the Cranes successfully complete the task in Nouakchott.
