Sserunkuma rejoins Gor Mahia ahead of ‘Mashemeji derby’

Ugandan hitman returns to K’Ogalo after failing to succeed in trials with Danish side HB Koge and will now be available to face rivals AFC Leopards'.

Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have been boosted ahead of Sunday's derby following the arrival of top striker Dan Sserunkuma.
Sserunkuma jetted back to Nairobi on Friday after attending two week trials in Denmark with first Division side HB Koge.
Gor Mahia Deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala has revealed to Goal that the player did not succeed in his trials and are glad to have him back ahead of the derby.
"Apparently things did not go well with him. However, it is great to have him back home to help in our title chase.”
On Wednesday, Gor Mahia coach Bobby Williamson expressed a desire to have the player back for the derby.
Sserunkuma has always scored against AFC Leopards' and his presence will be a major boost for the league champions. Gor Mahia will be out for revenge having lost the first 3-1 at the same venue.
