Messi: Suarez can help Barcelona win Champions League

The Catalans have made a flying start to the new season without the Uruguay international but the Argentine believes the €94m man could prove crucial in Europe.

Lionel Messi believes that new signing Luis Suarez can help Barcelona win the Champions League.
Suarez joined the Catalan club from Liverpool for a fee of €94 million this summer but the Uruguay international has yet to feature for his new employers as his four-month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini does not end until October 25.
Barca are undefeated under new boss Luis Enrique, winning six of their first seven fixtures of the 2014-15 campaign without a single goal, but Messi still believes that Suarez is capable of adding something to the Blaugrana attack.
Indeed, the Argentine feels that his fellow South American could prove crucial in Barca's bid to become champions of Europe for the first time since 2011.
“We are excited, eager and we have a squad with many good players and the arrival of Luis Suarez reinforces our attack and hopefully we can win the Champions League,” Messi stated during an interview with Adidas.
“We know it’s complicated - there will be some very difficult moments - but I think we can go far.
"The teams are the biggest in the world; they are the best. For this [reason] it is very important [to win]."
Four-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi has already lifted the Champions League on three occasions with Barca, in 2006, 2009 and 2011.
