Gor Mahia: Rama is welcomed with open arms

Former Gor Mahia midfielder Rama Salim in a past league match.

K'Ogalo deputy secretary general Ronald Ngala reveals to Goal that they will allow the striker, who failed trials in South Africa, to train with the team.

Gor Mahia have said the door is open for former midfielder Rama Salim to rejoin the club.
According to deputy secretary general Ronald Ngala, they have never had issues with the player and though he cannot play for them now, they would still not mind having him back in the squad.
“It is disappointing that he failed to get a club in South Africa and now we are sorry for him. We advised him to extend his contract with us before he left but he declined. However, we are still ready to welcome him back and keep him till the end of the season," Ngala told Goal.
“He had a good striking partnership with Dan Ssserunkuma and we still appreciate this and would like to see him again doing the same."
As exclusively revealed by Goal on Wednesday, Salim is back in the country faced with an uncertain future after he apparently failed to get a club in South Africa where he attended trials with two sides - AmaZulu FC and Bloemfontein Celtic.
Salim arrived home two days ago but declined to state his next course of action. “I came back on Monday but have not yet decided my next move,” he told Goal when reached for comment.
With the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) window closed, Salim is faced with prospect of staying idle for six months if nothing comes up for him soon.
