Milk men ready for ‘Slum Boys’ test as they aim to
end their win less run in two matches, something that has seen them drop
to position nine.
Thika United coach Tim Bryett is keen to end their losing streak when they face Mathare United in a Kenyan Premier League at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.Thika suffered back to back defeats against Gor Mahia and Western Stima in their last two matches to drop to ninth position on the log with 25 points, something the coach is keen to stop against tricky ‘slum boys’, who have gone seven matches without a win.
“It has not been a good run for us, we have lacked a little bit of consistency in our recent fixtures, and if we are to progress we have to stop this. As a team we have to work together to stop this poor run and start registering positive results which will benefit us, as a team,” Bryett told Goal on Friday.
“Mathare is a good side, we know their style of play, and it makes it even tricky. But we are confident of getting something from the match, which will act like a motivator to us. They can be dangerous when given a lot of time to posses the ball, so pressing them will be vital, and the best we can do I think is to play our game and take our chances.”
